Take steps to secure it. I'm not saying it's foolproof but I hide my ssid, enable MAC filtering and set a WPA3 password. It may not be perfect but it will make it less desirable to try to connect to.

You should definitely be securing your Wi-Fi if you haven't already, but this isn't always a nefarious circumstance. Some Wi-Fi devices some broadcast their device name, especially the cheap no name stuff. So it could be something like a smart light you installed, or Wi-Fi speaker. If this is the case, it'll take trial and error to find the suspect device. If you are already password protected, this would be my initial thought.

you can always change the ssid password and see if it is still there. also take not of all wifi devices you have in your home including cable box, dvd player, home theater, computers, tv, tablets, phone, smart home devices, alarms or whatever. I too get unknown on my network but they are from smart home devices.

Welcome to Android Central! It might also be some device you have that's connected to your wi-fi that for some reason isn't showing up with the correct device name. Go over every single device that's connected to your wi-fi network (including things like smart TVs, Blu-Ray players, any smarthome devices like garage door openers, etc.) and try disconnecting them from your network, then see if that Unknown device goes away.
