    I want to be able to respond to a text message by typing in the words instead of doing talk-to-text how do I fix that on my Android phone I've tried going under settings and it's not working

    Which device, and message app? Talk to text u would have to hit the microphone next to the keyboard so not understanding how its reverting to that .

    Welcome to Android Central! Are you sure you have Gboard or some other keyboard app set as the default keyboard app? You didn't disable them, did you?
