STOP - "Last Used" Desktop icon from automatically going to the bottom of screen

[Android Central Question]

I use to have all my most used smartphone icons located on the bottom row of my cell phone where they never moved and were protected. Somehow I must have messed up the settings, and now every time I use an app, the icon of the app appears on the bottom row, eliminating another icon. Most of the time eliminating either the 'phone' icon or 'voice mail' icon, which makes me have to search for it on another screen.

So, my question is - how can I re-lock the bottom row of app icons so they don't change.

Welcome to Android Central! Is this a Moto phone? I seem to recall something about Moto's launcher doing this kind of thing.
