Android Central Question

I'm not quite sure how it happened, but my screen now dims when I use my keyboard, but the keyboard stays full brightness. Has this happened to anyone else, and how can I fix it? This makes it difficult to see what I'm typing, especially if the app I'm using is in dark mode.

Welcome to Android Central! We've asked other people in this thread twice about testing with Safe Mode, but no one has ever responded. What about you?

A quick Google search says that to turn safe mode on, I would have to restart my phone. I have not restarted this phone in the same time frame that the dark texting has happened.

I have added two screen shots in an attempt so you can see what is happening. With keyboard hiding the screen is bright. When I bring up the keyboard the screen goes dark except for the keyboard.

I do not know what safe mode is unfortunately. I searched for "safe mode" in settings but found nothing of use.

Can you elaborate?

Here are the steps: www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/

Since you haven't rebooted the phone yet, then rebooting is worth trying first. If the problem persists after a reboot, then try Safe Mode, which will temporarily disable any 3rd party app you installed. This can tell you if the problem is due to something you installed.
