Can I take my number off of someone else’s account?

Asked: Aug 11 2022 | 4:16 pm EDT 220 Views 6 Answers

I just got my number about a year ago and almost a week ago I received a Samsung account verification code twice. Today I got it again, four times. I believe someone who used to have my number is trying to get into their Samsung account and is not able to. Is there a way I can take my number off someone’s account so they can access it?

Welcome to Android Central! Have you asked your carrier about this?

Carrier would have nothing to do with a Samsung account. Someone clearly changed phone numbers but never updated their Samsung account to reflect it, now a new person(the op) has that number. A carrier can't access Samsungs system or change the phone number associated to a Samsung account.

Best bet it to contact Samsung customer service and see if they can do anything.

Some Truth to what you mentioned ask carrier as they do give the number out not Samsung, in your Samsung account you can register or deregister numbers associated with your account.
