Most cases you would need fairly Good amount of Knowledge Android coding to understand what function they do. Dont be alarmed if you're seeing these things you're not familiar with , No you're not hacked or have Malware.

So if you're seeing these examples its pretty much normal.

com.android.contacts
com.android.keychain
com.android.keyguard
com.android.launcher
com.android.nfc
com.android.phone
com.android.providers.downloads
com.android.settings
com.android.systemui
com.android.vending
com.samsung.android.contacts
com.samsung.android.phone etc

Here are articles explaining more.

The key point about Google activity that many people don't quite grasp initially is that it shows when an app pings a user's Google account to refresh data -- the user doesn't have to be actively using the app for this to happen. So it doesn't mean a person is going behind a partner's back doing suspicious stuff. It's normal system behavior.

Also, if you plug a typical system app into a Google search, chances are high that you'll see lots of results claiming that the app is "spyware" or "malware." Take these results with a huge grain of salt, since those sites are often unreliable and not authoritative at all, filled with people who do not understand how Android or other manufacturer preinstalled apps work.

I just came across this thread. Right now, I am looking at the permissions I have for Chrome, and they are as follows: Location, Notifications, Microphone, Camera, Contacts, Music/audio, Nearby devices, and Photos/video.

Denial of all those permissions won't stop Chrome from accessing the internet. That would require the internet permission. It was probably left out of the list of permissions because it would be a given that you want this app to connect to the internet.

com.samsung.android.server.telecom is used for what?
Welcome to Android Central! Is there a reason why you want to know what it's used for? Isn't the app name clear enough that it's a system app important for the telecom part of the phone?
If you really want to understand what all of these system apps are for, then I suggest you start taking courses in Android engineering, because that's the best way to learn about them. Otherwise, if you're a layperson, my advice is to let the system take care of itself. If you're worried about malware, then the best approach is prevention -- read these:
