    Replacing a battery, in itself, causes no loss of personal data. However, some repairers may require you to factory reset the phone before they will agree to work on it, so if you have it done, check in advance.

    Loss of personal data from a phone doesn't matter if you have a cloud backup. Tell us if you want to know more about doing that.

    Welcome to Android Central! If you're adventurous, you might be able to replace the battery yourself -- there are a lot of DIY videos out there:

    Be aware replacement battery might be degraded depending on shelf life and where u get it from
