Welcome to Android Central! Is the Garminfone an Android device? If so, are the contacts on there associated with your Google account? If that's the case, then as long as you log into the S4 with the same Google account, those contacts will sync from your cloud Google account.

If the contacts are from the "Phone Account," then I agree with dpham00--you'll need to export them, then import them into your Google account. See this guide for additional info: http://forums.androidcentral.com/gen...ml#post3707512

Thanks. Never dawned on me to just swap SD cards to do a import/export transfer. I am all up and running now with my new S4. Thanks again
