samsung tab 3 frozen on reboot

so today I decided to reboot my tablet since it was working slow and closing pages unexpectedly.
Now the screen is frozen & there is d android logo (green robot) and there's written 'downloading do not switch off target' It's been hours like this it's frustrating.what can I do?
