AC Question

First off I am new to android. I have had an S5 for about 2 weeks now.

My Wifi was working fine at work. For some reason it is not working any more. It works fine everywhere else. I have double checked the password and everything is good that way.

In the Wifi settings it keeps saying "obtaining IP address...". Then I get a message that says "network disabled because internet connection is slow".

I am not sure what the problem is. All of my other devices are connected and operate great.

Any one got this?

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Wifi, tap the Menu button, then Advanced, and see if there is an option to "Avoid Poor Connections" and uncheck it. Also, if there is a "Wifi Optimization" option, turn that off as well, because that is usually to try saving battery, not to improve reception.

I'm running a Samsung Galaxy 5. Had it about a month. While away, it kept dropping wifi, I thought it was the hotel. Now that I'm home, it's still dropping. The only way to turn it on is to restart. The settings-wifi-on switch just doesn't move.
I can't find the menu options you refer to. Thanks.
