Moto X cracked LCD, but working digitizer

[AC Question]

I recently dropped my moto x and the LCD cracked in the bottom, but a small portion in the top of the screen remains able to be viewed and the digitizer still works, but I can't see enough of the screen to make it work. I didn't backup my SMS and need to keep those. My first though was screen mirroring, but without a way to enable ADB that isn't an option. Is there a way I can back my stuff up without ADB or is there a way I can enable ADB without being able to see what I'm doing?

This is my question. Just a clarification. My phone is not locked and I can view my files on my computer via USB.
