android with the red exclamation after superuser

Hey could somebody help me . so I rooted my phone not to long ago on my nexus 5 and I downloaded superuser and the binary wouldn't update so it asked me to click
cwm/twrp or normal and me not knowing what it was I clicked the cwm option and the android with the red exclamation popped up and now it does that when I was updating to android 4.4.4 HELP PLEASE

That happened to me before, and I just did a factory reset. It worked, at least. If you don't mind losing your data, go to recovery mode, then select the factory reset option.
