Htc one dead?

My htc was working when listening to music, was about to change song and lights were flashing and screen was black. The phone since has not turned on and will not charge have tried all the power holding tricks and have had it charging but no light is even signaling that it is even charging. What else can i do to try and turn it back on and retrieve my items.

Sounds like a catastrophic hardware failure. Contact your wireless store if the phone is brand new, or HTC if the phone is still under warranty.
