Phone says its connected to home wifi

[AC Question]

I have an SGH-1747 there was problem yesterday but was told by Samsung Support to factory reset. NOW my phone says I'm connected to our home wifi but I cannot connect with the outside world... Samsung support now wants me to send phone back to them, at this point I don't know what to do. If anyone can help it will be greatly appreciated...thanks in advance.
