Bad Youtube app performance on tablet

Today I just got my new Lenovo Tab A7. Everythig was ok, until I opened the Youtube app. It has problematic video playback. No buffering issues, and nothing changes when I turn the wi-fi optimization off. Nor when i change the quality on the video to any of the choices. But everything is fine while I play videos on the mobile site of youtube from chrome. I supossedly could use chrome, but if I select HD it remains at 360p, while the app streams 720p. I uninstalled updates with no luck, and since I got the tablet just today, there can't be any problem with the cache. Please, any tip wouldnbe much apprecited.
