I was trying to move a folder at the top of the left corner of my home page that had shortcuts in it that I really needed and it just disappeared when I held it down. I have looked everywhere . I have no clue if it somehow got delted im not sure how though..
its a galaxy s3. Ive tried file searches etc.. but its not a file its a FOLDER.
and everything online talks about apps and files...
is there a way to recover it? Or even know what happened.. I dont wantto to happen again.
thanks

Welcome to Android Central! I suspect you accidentally removed the folder from your homescreen in the process of trying to move it. When you long-press an icon or folder on the homescreen, you can either move it or discard it--the latter is done by dragging it up to the Remove area at the top of the screen and releasing your finger. You probably came too close to that area and inadvertently lifted your finger. If that's the case, the folder is gone, so you'll have to re-create it with the shortcuts that were in it.
