AC Question

Hi
I have a Lenovo A7600 - H - think it's quite a new model. I bought it a couple of months ago specifically because it had a SIM card option and I'm often in areas where there's no wifi.

Initially I couldn't get the sim card I was sent from my provider to be recognised but as I was busy I just assumed it was me doing something wrong and didn't worry too much.

However, I thought I'd better get the sim card up and running this weekend and no matter what I do, it's not being recognised. Still not sure if it's me or the tablet.

The Lenovo website forum was next to useless (wouldn't even recognise this model!) so I'm hoping someone here can help.

Thanks

The tab may be SIM-locked to a different carrier. Is it just not doing anything when you put the SIM card in (you should be able to get wireless data and internet, no phone calls or text), or is it giving you a message? (If it is, what's the message say?)

Hi, I am not sure if you have sorted this yet but if not........I have the exact same model my husband bought it for me a couple of weeks ago. I have had the same problem as you until this very minute. I had tried putting the sim card in the usual way with the cut edge going into tablet first. This is the normal way for most sims. I heard and felt it click home but the tablet kept saying no sim detected. I turned the sim around a few times to see if it would fit in any other way. I found it wentvin backwards and clicked in. This time when I turned the tablet on, the WiFi 3g sim connection worked. I'm not connected. My advice take the sim card and hold it by the end with the slit off, then put into slot backwards. It should click in. Turn on your tablet and hopefully like mine it should work. Let me know if it sorted. X

same problem here.. turned the sim in all 4 durections, no connection :(.. cutted edge in the finger is probably right however doesnt work. how can i find out if the tablet is maybe locked to a carrier? is it easy to unlock it or do i have to go to one of these turkish mobile shops? thanks for help!
