Galaxy S3 won't power on

After going through the ringer with me this phone has handled a lot of things even in it's poor state it was still working until today. The home button came off about a week ago and I had no problems but today I dropped it for the last time and the menu and back arrow keys came off along with the ribbon cable that was attaching both of them. Now the screen will not power on and I see no lights at all. I tried to charge it and I saw a red light come on up top and then it went away. Luckily I have a backup phone for now and most of my stuff was on my SD but I did still have stuff on the phone itself. Am I doomed or can I get my stuff back?

Have you tried hooking it up to your computer to see if it will recognize it?

To answer your question, you may indeed be doomed.
