receive same text multiple times

why do I receive the same text multiple times? It occurs with various people/phone numbers.

Did some digging around and everything I've come across seems to point to the issue being network related. Maybe contact your carrier to see if they can offer assistance!

There was one other suggestion about having multiple apps that handle text messages on your device. Do you use multiple message handling apps?

Momfoau, your correct in that if you have multiple messaging g apps on your device this will be the typical behavior. Took a while to figure it out when I had my S4. Leave a single message app running is the bottom line.
