transferring data

Hi. How to transfer the content of your phone to a new phone. Both samsung phones. SCL to an S3 mini.
Any advice would be great.

I did the smart switch app, when transferring from I cloud to the s5. But I believe I saw a "from Google" account as well...don't know if this helps any
