Good Afternoon,

Hoping one of you bright android peeps can help me....

Recently bought the HTC One M8 and I am really impressed with, however when I receive a SMS, Email, missed call etc....my lock screen does not light up to show any notifications. Previously I have been an iPhone owner and all you had to do is press the home button and if you had any notifications you could see them on the lock screen, then swipe to read it or reply.

I have been into the security settings to enable lock screen notifications (Settings>Security>Notification Settings) and selected all the ones I want to appear but still no joy.

Am I missing something??

I personally don't have the M8 so can't comment on the lock screen issue you are having, but I do know that not many Android phones provide the same lock screen effects that the Iphone has - however there are apps you can download that perform such task. If you download Dashclock this will allow everything that you need

Not sure if there are built in notifications on the M8, but some great apps you can try are Dynamic Notifications and DashClock.

I've got the M7 but have Sense 6. I never really cared for the stock lockscreen, so I installed Widgetlocker along with Nils notifications. Nils can go on top of any lockscreen so I think you could turn off your notifications in the lockscreen settings and just control them through this app. It lets you control all of your apps, not just a select few.

Unfortunately, the m8 doesn't support that. I have an app that'll light up the screen when I get texts, or any notification. Go to the play store & search floatifications

Nils works just fine on the M8. Just try one of the latest versions.
