Disappearing Storage

Kyocera Rise I've had since start of year is losing device space at about 2 to 3MB a day. I deleted 100MB app for room and that space is gone now. Done usual clearing cache, etc. Got app to browse file system and search shows no file of 200MB or more, which is how big this file should be by now. Been considering rooting phone to check there. Soon phone will cease to function. Help!

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have a lot of texts saved on your device? That can take up a bit of space, especially if there are photos or videos associated with them. Thanks to your suggestion I've figured it out. The google bloat ware will not let you delete it, but they will allow you to delete updates, which tells me that they're saving a programs previous versions alongside the original factory version. So every time they offer an update to one of their programs google is more or less doubling that programs foot print.
