read old whatsapp messages

I want to read old whatsapp messages and see old media(from 5 months ago).
In order to do so, I clicked "Load earlier messages" many times and when I almost reached the messages, I recieved a message that gives me only an option to force close the app. It happend to me more than once.
I had tried to email the conversation a few times, but the mails had no attached files.
What can i do?

I don't use WhatsApp, so can't provide specific help. However, have you tried to uninstall then reinstall the app and see if that fixes your problem? Also, does the WhatsApp support page provide feedback on this issue?
