Opening photo on my Samsung

I received some photo from a friend and I cannot opened them. I not very familiar with this new phone Samsung S III I just bought a month ago. When I try to opened tehm up I get a message try later. How later is later. I been waithing a full day , still unable to see them . Can anyone help?

Was the picture sent through text message? If it was, then the photo may not have been sent and the device is waiting to receive it. It may be due to the network.

Ask your friend to send the picture again then see if it downloads.

Also, if it was sent via text message, make sure your mobile data (3G/4G) is on. Photos sent via texting can't be received without mobile data on. They can't be sent over the voice signal or wi-fi.
