In the last couple of months or so I have noticed that my Galaxy S4 will randomly restart itself on occasions other than after it updates or it will switch itself off. Today I had 100% charge on my phone at 6:15am and at around 10:25am the phone restarted itself and showed a charge of only 13%. As I am currently in the office I have not got the Wi-Fi on so its only internet connection is 3G/4G signal.

I have noticed that when it does this sort of thing it gets really hot, and as far as I can tell it hasn't updated or downloaded anything as I ensure that I do that at home where it has Wi-Fi access.

Is this something that can be sorted by myself or am I better off taking it to the store I got it from and having them check it out??

Go into recovery mode and clear the partition cache. If that doesn't fix it, go into safe mode to find out whether you've got a duff app.

    Is your battery good?
