I have had my S4 Mini for 4 months now. In the past ~3 weeks, I noticed that when I "wake" the phone after moderate amount of time "asleep", the time is no longer displayed on the screen. When I swipe, it appears on the home screen, although it is frequently still showing the time it was when the phone went to sleep. After a second swipe, it updates to the current time.

It is happening everywhere, so I don't think it is locational. And it is happening in places where it used to work fine. As far as I know, I didn't change any settings, but it seemed to start after Android pushed out an update in late June/early July?

I frequently use my phone to check the time, and so this is really aggravating!

    Can anyone help?

In the first instance, try a soft reset...that is, Power Off, wait half a minute, then Restart phone.
If ineffective, you could try a system cache partition wipe. I'll add a link.

...Here's one for the S4 which should be the same. Be careful not to do a factory reset by mistake, which will wipe the phone rather than the cache.
