Samsung Galaxy s4 not allowing update

AC Question

I received a used s4 as a gift a few months ago and it turned out that it had been rooted. It wan't until recently that i decided to unroot it by using the SuperSU one-click unroot button. It did it's thing, I uninstalled it and restarted my phone. I expected to be able to update my phone now but whenever i go click "Software Update" nothing happens at all, like before! This is really frustrating to me, please help!

If they rooted, they may have removed some of the software that is preinstalled. That will cause an update to fail. You can try a factory reset and if that does not solve the issue, you will have to flash a stock ROM.

Check XDA for the details.
