s5 help!

Hey guys!

I currently live in Ireland and my friend from Switzerland plans to send me the s5 by postage. Would I be able to use it even though I heard it needs five minutes of talktime in the country its bought in? Also would I have to unroot the phone when it arrives and im with Vodafone by the way.

You would have to go to Switzerland once a month and use the phone for five minutes. I joke. Is it a new phone or one your friend is using?
