    Hi there,

I have no plans on shedding my mortal coil anytime soon, but in the event a piano falls on me I'd like to know what happens to my Google Play books after I play that final chord. Can I arrange to transfer files to someone, i.e. how physical books can be passed down?

    Appreciate any input on this.

...I'd also like to point out that I have no plans on purchasing anything on Google Play after I die. That was just a poorly-worded post title.

I suggest they would be available to anyone with access to your devices until they need to reset or re-enter your login details. I guess you can pass on your login to your nearest and dearest, but don't they request extra email addresses and favourite places as checks etc and you/they would need to confirm these and link from another email.

I wonder if Google eventually learns we are dead. If our phone is buried with us with location turned on, that might give them a clue.

My cousin Vinny is a very good litigation lawyer specialising in piano flattening by next of kin. Give him a call.

.... and I also missed the thrust of your question so post again. I don't know if you can transfer ownership. It may be buried (no pun intended) in Google's t&c's, and something you could 'try' to ask them.
