My S3 is not updating

[AC Question]

My husband and I bought our Samsung Galaxy S3 phones in December of 2012. My phone has never been able to update and is still running on 4.1.1 version - my husband's phone has received all the recent updates with no issues. I tried to update on my own by going into Settings - About Phone - Software Update- Check New and I get the following message: Service Unavailable To check for software updates, go to Settings>about device when service is available. No clue why I keep receiving this message. Went to Best Buy for help - they couldn't figure it out either. Any thoughts?

What carrier do you have? Check to see that you have good connectivity. Try to look for the update over wifi
