Headset mode activated with head phones in

Hi, my phone has remained in the headset mode after i took out the earphones and so im not hearing when i get notification etc. I have done a factory reset and it didn't help. What do I do?

Welcome to Android Central! What phone do you have? Check if there is any debris in the headphone jack. Use a damp toothpick to root around, or a can of compressed air to blow it out.
