Using Mobile Hotspot on a Verizon Galaxy note 2 on a different network

Hello Friends,

I happen to have a Verizon Galaxy note 2 and have traveled out of the United States.

I need to use wifi hotspot on the Galaxy note 2 but i am unable to do so as it keeps checking for subscription status and gives an error.

Since the Galaxy note 2 is a part of the new Verizon policy it was never locked on Verizon so i have been able to use it out of the country without any locking issues.

Is there a way that this problem can be solved?

I think the hotspot feature is linked to the carrier. You might try an app like FoxFi/PDANet.
