Keyboard & Shift keys - samsung chromebook

[AC Question]

Hi,

I just bought a chromebook and the shift key functions will not work correctly. for example, if I want to type at, instead I get ". Someone please help, thanks.

Welcome to Android Central, and welcome to the awesome world of Chromebooks! Click on the menu button (the 3 horizontal lines at the upper right), then Settings, then Keyboard Settings (under Device). Now click on "Change language and input settings," and make sure US Keyboard is checked.
