Today I decided to try the screen casting option for my chromecast. It did not work. I get two types of error messages. The first is when I go through the chromecast app is it says "disconnecting" really fast and nothing happens. The second option is when I try it from the pull down menu it says "connecting to (blank) has failed."
I have done the following things:
Factory reset of chromecast
chromecast is at version 1.7.4.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and powering off the devices
android tablet is at version 4.4.4
I am beginning to think my chromecast or tablet may be a dud. Any help is appreciated!
