Samsung galaxy s4 charging issues after changing USB connecter

Hi. I've recently changed my USB connecter and hooked it up to my original wall adapter. The usb cable is 5V 1A and I was wondering if 1A was bad since it didn't compare to my original which it is 2A. The first day was doing good. Next day my battery was dropping low slowly even though it's charging. I've cleaned, cleared apps/afk files etc. Checked battery for bumps and stuffs. Now I am assuming that the usb connecter was not charging faster. So I need your help. I've ordered a original samsung chargers which is coming in 5-10 days. But I don't wanna make the same mistake so I need answers. I've kept this s4 for only 3-4 months old and I don't wanna change my phone

So wait is my phone damage? Or its the charger being slow and sucky causing it to not charge efficiently
