Unable to turn on wifi

[AC Question]

I have had this phone( Galaxy S4 SGH-I337) for almost a year now, with little to no problems but just recently I haven't been able to turn on wifi and connect to my home wifi network. I assume it is the phone as when I click the wifi icon it turns a light green, (not the dark green that shows when wifi is turned on in the notifications tab) and goes back to grey in a few milliseconds. I have no idea how to fix this, i already have tried rebooting the phone and assorted ways of turning it on and off again.

This doesn't help as I can't even turn on wifi in general......

Have you tried an app Cached Data wipe, and a Cache Partition wipe?

Yes, I agree--the next step I would try is a system cache partition wipe: Reset: Samsung Galaxy S 4 | T-Mobile Support

Yeah this was one of the first things I tried and still unable to turn it on.

Hmm. The two other things I'd suggest would be a factory reset (backup your data first, obviously) or bringing the phone to a repair shop to check the internal connections.
