moto E not charging

i am using my original wall charger to charge MOTO E phone but it showing 0%

Try with a charger and USB lead that are known to be working. If unsuccessful, the battery may be faulty.

Welcome to Android Central! Where does it say 0%? Is the phone actually on, or is this the battery icon that shows up when the phone is off but still plugged in? Do you see a lightning bolt indicating that it's charging? Have you tried powering the phone off completely and letting it sit undisturbed, plugged into a wall outlet, for at least 12 hours?
