Finding the serial number a verizon galaxy note 10 tab???

I work for a computer shop and mainly work on computers and phones. I will however repair ipads and some tablets as well. I have a customer who bought in a samsung verizon note tab that he got stuck saying firmware upgrade encountered an issue. I found a way to fix it but it ask for the serial number. There is not a way for me access the settings because of the issue that is happening with it. I happened to take the back panel (which is a repair itself) to see if the battery would have it somewhere. There was nothing but the IMEI and the sku. So my question is how can I find out the serial number? Is there a program that detects it? If so how do i get that program and what do I do? Thank you.

The customer may be able to contact Verizon to see if they have it on file... Or if their Verizon account has it.
