Gear 2 Neo tracking excessive miles with not very many steps???

I have owned my Samsung Gear 2 Neo for about 2 months now. Every so often, I will check my pedometer and the mileage. for about 2 weeks now, my pedometer will be around 4000 steps but have 60 something miles in the bottom left hand corner! I know for a fact that I haven't walked that much! I have my gear to reset the steps and mileage every night at midnight. Why does this happen? How does it happen? And is there a fix to this?? It will sync my mileage over to my phone and keep the info there, but my history is waaay off! Its getting to be really annoying.

It may be something in the settings but try a Cached Data wipe.

My Nexus 5 assured me that last month, I walked for a total of 5 hours. I know for a fact that it was much more than that but I'm not going to argue with my phone, which is much smarter than me.
