Hi there, I have a Nexus 7 2013 and my microSD connection does not seem to be registering when I plug it in. Whether I'm trying to charge the device via usb cord and wall adapter, or connect the device to my computer via USB cord, the device nor the computer shows any recognition that I have connected it. I've tried using different cables, and while the device still charges, it does not display that it is charging. In other words, when I plug it in, I notice that the battery level is at whatever percent, and although the device does not register I've plugged it in, I come back half an hour later and the battery level has increased by 10 or higher percent.
I am going to try a factory reset to see if it is a software problem. And luckily, I've been able to backup my pictures and videos to my computer or older Nexus 7 through apps such as Air Droid and Bluetooth File Manager. But my question, is that if I backup my apps, will all the accounts and data within the apps be restored with the tablet after the factory reset??
    Thanks!

It depends on how you do the backup. Apps like Titanium Backup can save app data and files, but if you use Google's service, it only saves configuration for Google Services and genera phone settings. When you log back in after a reset it will ask you if you want to redownload/reinstall your apps but it won't restore data like game saves.
