    relatively new user of android.....
video of tortoise taken by kids with my phone earlier this year. video thumbnail shows up in gallery. but when try to press play, only get two options, to use the "Photos" app or the "Video Player" app. when i hit use video player (just once) it looks like it wants to start the video, but then says "sorry, this video can't be played". i'm pretty sure there's video somewhere, because the thumbnail shows the tortoise in the grass. please help. video is of pet tortoise that died this past weekend, and it would be nice to have it for memories.
also, video doesn't show up in DCIM /Camera folder when i connect to PC, although most other pictures do. in conjunction with that, I don't have a video folder when i connect to a PC, so i'm wondering if that has something to do with it. it seems like most other folders are there (alarms, music, pictures, playlist, etc.) just no "video" folder per se.
    thanks in advance

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have any other camera apps installed? 3rd party camera apps may save their photos or videos in their own folder, not the DCIM/Camera folder.

Try using a wireless file transfer solution, like AirDroid or Wifi File Explorer.
