Default Google calendar for "add a new event"

I can't find a way to change the default calendar for "add a new event". I get my google calendar and my wife's on my phone, and it wants to make every new event an event under her email address/google calendar.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Do you mean that when you add an event on one calendar it adds to both devices?
