Galaxy S5 not playing any videos strored on SD Card

[AC Question]

Hi there. I just purchased a 128GB SD card and put it into my phone, formatted it and moved a bunch of files onto it via Kies 3. Everthing pulls up just fine (music, photos etc) except for my movies (that I converted from my own DVDs to mp4 format). The movies show up but when I try to play them I get a "Sorry, this video cannot be played." message.I tried downloading the "Android Player" and "MX Player" and those don't work either. Am I not able to play videos saved to my SD card?

Side note: when using Kies 3 and I transfer the video to "Internal Memory", the video plays however when I transfer the video to "External Memory", it doesn't.

Probably an issue with the SD card. Large cards like the 128 GB variety seem to have a few more issues like this. See if it works with a 32 GB card.
