Note 3 missing icons

I have a few apps with missing icons, specifically Gmail, on my Note 3. I'm pretty sure they were deleted. They are installed and they are NOT hidden. How can I get that icon back?

Are you rooted? I'm not sure how you would delete icons for apps without having root access. If you have root access you should be able to go into your app directory and place a .png file there as your icon. If you are not rooted and still believe you have somehow deleted the icon you could use an app like Beautiful Widgets to replace it with whatever you want. If you after completely stock and want to return. Try uninstlling the updates and update again. I'm not 100% this will restore your icon however I do believe it scans the app as it updates and should repair anything broken or replace anything missing.

Never mind rooting. If it's new to you, are you sure they are not on the Google, Samsung and Galaxy Plus icon folders/trays.
