Unsupported content message

I searched for this subject in the forum, but didn't find an answer, so thanks in advance for your patience.

I have a Samsung that says 'unsupported content' when I try to download apps. What workaround can I use? Tried to download Astro File Manager, but couldn't even download that. Also, can't find the 'unknown sources' option in my phone settings (and am assuming that's the crux of the problem).

If there's no workaround, any suggestions for reasonably priced Android phones for apps? I thought nearly all phones supported this, but apparently not as evidenced by my phone.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone do you have? Are you trying to install from Google Play Store? What region of the world are you in?

Unknown Sources should be in Settings>Security​.
