How do you turn off-Galaxy S 5 weather main application

How do you turn off the weather application Galaxy gs5 >>Settings>Application manager>>weather>>force stop>>clear data>>clear cache. Application won't shut down. Its draining my battery

Hello. Welcome to Android Central.
I have some history with the same default AccuWeather app on my Note 3. I now have Yahoo weather running on a Chronus clock widget.
I don't have the weather icon in my app drawer any more, though I see I still have the AccuWeather widget and the app info is running again.

Can you scroll down the App Info and see if it is still showing as launched by default?
