    Hi all,
so to make it short. My HTC One M8 will turn on if plugged to a power source but does not charge, it stays at 0%. If I unplug it it turns off straight away. Yesterday I got a warning from one of the applications I installed to monitor the apps that the Alarm clock was causing it to overheat (yes I abused the Snooze button). I deleted it to be safe because in the days prior to this I was randomly experiencing battery draining and thought this app was the cause. Did a factory reset and nothing changed.

Any suggestions or should I just simply send it for repairs?

Welcome to Android Central! My guess is that the battery failed. Probably best to contact HTC for a replacement.
