Help with wireless chargers

Hello all, I'm pretty new to this whole wireless charging thingy. I recently got an Samsung Galaxy S3 phone and I'm scared of wearing out the USB port. I heard there is an option for wireless charging. I'm just wondering. Is it safe to use? compared to wired?
Does it wear down the life of the phone?
Does it damage the phone?

It is safe, it won't wear down the battery any more than wired, and it won't damage the phone. It will however charge slower than wired so that's something you have to take into consideration. I wouldn't worry about the port wearing out. My S4 charges fine even after more than a year of use.
