Moto E rejects my headphones.

So I recently got my new moto E and started using my 'PS VITA Headphones' the audio was pretty weird at first. Then I tried using them again and they wouldn't work at all. Basically the audio now cuts between my moto E speakers and my headphones. I don't think this is a problem with the audio jack as my apple headphones work with it and I tried clearing the jack out and there was nothing noticeable in there.
