Remove photos off Nexus 5 (Google Drive issues)

AC Question

I was shared photos on my PC through Google Drive. Since my account is linked with my Nexus 5, those photos appeared on my phone as well. Now I want to delete the photos off of drive, but I can't figure it out.

When I access the Drive on my phone, the pictures are nowhere to be found. But, when I tried to change my wallpaper, the photos appear under the "Recent" section and nowhere else. I can't seem to delete the photos and as stated before, I can't access them anywhere else.

How do I remove the photos completely?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you sure you initially shared them to Google Drive or Google+?

Try opening the Photos app, tap Menu>Settings>[your account], and check the "Google Drive" box. This should allow the Photos app to display any photos stored in Drive. It should also allow you to delete them.

The other possibility is that those photos might be shown in that Recent list only because they've been cached. Try going to Settings>Storage, tap Cached Data, and clear all of the app caches.
